Eye Popping Brights and Beautiful Fabric Cuts: Olivia Rubin
With Summer just around the corner now is the perfect time to begin building your fabulous Spring/Summer wardrobe and get ready to welcome the sunshine in style! If you're struggling for inspiration then we strongly suggest you take a look at the amazing new collection by British designer Olivia Rubin, her latest collection with its eye popping brights and beautiful fabric cuts, this is a sure fire way to shift your wardrobe from winter to summer.
We were first introduced to the incredible talent of Olivia Rubin seven seasons ago when the designer launched her first collection having just graduated from the world renowned Central Saint Martins College in London. Since emerging into the fashion industry Rubin has continued to build her presence featuring regularly in popular fashion publications such as Vogue, Glamour, Grazia, Instyle and many more! The designer has also found herself with a strong celebrity following from British style icons Fearne Cotton, Jaime Winston, Jameela Jamil and Cheryl Cole.
Rubin has combined two of this seasons top trends; animal print and bright rainbow colours to create a stunning range of classic shapes with unique prints made from beautiful silks and luxurious jerseywear. The designer took inspiration from sculptures by Henry Moore and delicate mobiles by Alexander Calder resulting in a collection of distinctive yet feminine silhouettes with bright, edgy and fun graphic prints perfect for the summer! Each item has a real summer feel to it, with the lightweight silks and jerseywear and the eye popping patterns and colours make for a key piece for every summer wardrobe.
Seasons are pleased to boast that they are the first store within Leeds to stock the British designers collection. Our key piece has to be the 'Love' dress; a hot pink and tan zebra striped dress, made out of silk with beautiful pleats and folds along with a daring split up the left leg. Definitely a showstopper! For those of you that are less daring but still want to inject a little colour, the Stature t-shirt is perfect as it features a plain black and white background with a hot pink and camel zebra print across the bust.
