The autumnal women's designer clothing trends always seem to act as a backlash to the gaudy brights and flesh-flashing fashions of the summer, and this year is no exception.
A number of designers at the autumn/winter 2012 shows sent their models down the catwalk wearing fitted bodices, long swishy skirts and nipped in waists, suggesting that this fall it's all about looking like a lady.
