How to dress for Ladies' Day at the races

With Ladies' Day at the Grand National coming up this Friday (April 13th), lots of us will have been on the lookout for a special outfit to wear to the prestigious event.
You might have already chosen your headwear but if you're having a last-minute panic about the perfect dress to team it with, try something from Seasons Clothing's selection of women's designer clothing.
The racing event is the ideal time and place to try out an experimental look, given that there is a prize to be won for the best dressed woman at Ladies' Day.
While the Aintree racecourse doesn't have the same strict fashion rules as its summer counterpart the Royal Ascot, it is very much the done thing to make an effort with your attire. Big hats, bold colours and striking silhouettes are the order of the day, so take your pick of the latest spring trends for an outfit that will make a big impression.
One of the biggest looks this season is the peplum, so opt for a dress with an exaggerated hip for maximum visual impact. You can go down the 1940s route and pair it with simple, clean accessories, a bright red lipstick and a hat with a veil, or give a be-peplumed dress a modern twist with a skinny waist belt cinching in your narrowest part and a chunky statement necklace.
Don't forget about your footwear options. There's nothing worse than enjoying your glass of bubbly at the races while your stilettos sink slowly into the ground, resulting in an undignified shuffle as you attempt to free yourself from the boggy grass. You may wish to leave the needle-thin heels at home if it rains between now and Friday; similarly, don't wear shoes that will be ruined by the mud.
If you'd prefer to cover up winter-pale legs but have your heart set on showing off your new peeptoe heels, try out a pair of nude fishnet tights or stockings. These look much more chic than skin-tone tights and give you some warmth in the likely event that Ladies' Day will be held under overcast skies this weekend.
