Get the look: Kate Middleton's clutch bags

This Anya Hindmarch clutch is reminiscent of Kate Middleton's style

Everything she touches turns to sold so it's little wonder that Kate Middleton's penchant for clutch bags is causing considerable excitement in the fashion world.

Aside from bunches of flowers and occasionally small children, a cute clutch is pretty much all we ever see the Duchess of Cambridge hold. Matching ones, envelope style ones, box and hard case ones - the girl definitely knows how to wear a clutch.

One of her favourites is her Anya Hindmarch Marano bag, which features a hard case in a navy blue snakeskin effect. It joined her at the Irish Guard Medal Parade last July, when she teamed it with a military coat dress by Alexander McQueen, and again at an engagement in London in April this year where it accessorised a Rebecca Taylor blue boucle dress and jacket combination.

She also took her Marano to a friend's wedding on the same day as her and husband William's first anniversary of married life.

Kate often turns to Anya Hindmarch bags when she's out and about, and has in the past worn the designer to several prestigious events. On last year's state trip to Canada she was pictured with a beaded fan-shape clutch, which featured a pop of red to coordinate with her shoes and hat.

The Duchess also wore the Anya Hindmarch silk Maud clutch in black to another friend's wedding last summer and a different black bag from the designer's Bespoke Collection when she met the Obamas at Buckingham Palace.

She appears to prefer small, neat clutches over larger styles, so if you want to try out her look it's best to opt for something sleek and stylish. Diane Von Furstenberg's Chalk Lytton Python clutch fits the bill perfectly, while if you're after something to jazz up a simple outfit for a night out, try Anya Hindmarch's Glitter Marano clutches in eye-catching gold or sophisticated black sparkles.
