Founded as a continuation to the highly popular Materials of the World, the Adidas Flavours of the World series is inspired by annual cultural, ingredient-based famous events from around the globe. Constructed from luxurious materials and made in limited numbers creating a highly sought after collection and one for any sneaker enthusiast. Each inspired event can be found running through the design of each individual trainer.

The Rod Laver Vintage was released in October 2007. Ocotbers Flavour has been inspired by Halloween; The originally pagan festival celebrated in Western cultures on the 31st of this month. With its origins in Ireland, the tradition really took off as part of American popular culture in the 20th Century. Whether its in North America, Europe or Latin America (where its often known as Day of the Dead), the festivities take on a similar form, with mask and costume wearing, treats and food to attract or ward off the dead. Instantly recognizable, the Orange and Black Halloween icon is a carved pumpkin- known as Jack-O-Lantern.
