Matthew Williamson a born and bred Mancuinian, who was offered the chance to study at Central St Martins College in London, this is where the journey began. From Matthew Williamsons line being shown four times annually, to winning multiple awards such as, Elle designer of the year award in 2004 and the Moet and Chandon Fashion Tribute Award, this larger than life designer had his line established in 1997, that September his first collection was shown.

Modelled by names such as Kate Moss and Helena Christensen then we knew the designs by Matthew Williamson were going to be the next big thing. The unique collection of bright fabrics and intricately detailed pattern became the signature look for Williamson. Whatever the occasion Matthew Williamson's dresses will be one to suit. The MW Matthew Williamson collection is the diffusion, younger sister of the Matthew Williamson mainline collection.

So easily taken from day to evening wear with a change of shoe and handbag, these timeless designs are in no way going anywhere soon, a firm favourite amongst the celebrities Matthew Williamson has succeeded in every way possible. His first showing at New York Fashion week in 2002 really established him as a high end designer, his name was all over the press' lips which then furthered him to a much wider audience.

His massive success story only grows, with showing his collection every year apart from S/S 2008 at New York Fashion Week his style is an ever growing label and his following including fellow designer Sienna Miller, actresses Keira Knightly, Gwyneth Paltrow, Thandie Newton & Mischa Barton.
